Ford Ironman Arizona to Take Place for Fifth Time

TEMPE, AZ - Ford Ironman Arizona will take place for the fifth time on November 23, 2008. This will be the first fall date for the event that has previously taken place in April. The fall event will become the permanent date for this event going forward to 2009 and beyond. This change has been in the planning stages for some time, some of the reasons for the change include avoiding the gusty winds and hot weather that have challenged athletes in the first three years of the race and scheduling issues with all parties involved. The event will be held the weekend before Thanksgiving in future years.

Panama City Beach, FL - The 2009 edition of Ford Ironman Florida is sold out to general entry. Community Fund spots will open on Wednesday November 5th at 9 am ET. Those interested in community fund spots should go to the race website under entry.
